HP, Cisco and Microsoft to maintain its leadership in the global market infrastructure for data centers . Each of these companies is headed by segment, according to Synergy Research Group study.
Analysts data for the third quarter of 2015, HP holds the first place in sales of equipment for corporate data centers. Cisco sells more other hardware solutions for data center operators, and Microsoft has no equal in the implementation of software on the market in question.
On the corporate equipment accounted for more than half of the market infrastructure for data centers, HP continues to gain share in this segment, which reached 24% in July-September 2015.
Cisco still holds the palm as a supplier of hardware for data center operators due to the strong growth of the server business of the company and its dominance of the sales network solutions.
The software is the smallest among all segments of the market infrastructure for data centers, there remains the undisputed leader Microsoft. Among the competitors in the software giant VMware has a notable market share - about 18% against 68% for Microsoft.
In the third quarter of 2015 global sales of servers, network equipment, storage systems (NAS), as well as security technologies, server operating systems and virtualization software reached $29 billion, which is 3% higher than a year earlier. The largest product segment are Rack-server occupying about a third of the market concerned.
